I’ve chosen FOUR METAL PLATES by Hana Walker-Brown. I’ve never met Hana, but I think this is brilliant. I first heard it eight months ago and it’s stuck with me since then.
This is an horrific story – and particularly compelling because it could have happened to any of us. I really admire the way Hana's put it together: stunning use of music, fx, eq, subtle flashes of reverb... and plenty of space and silence. It's dramatic but not overly so.
